Overview

The scope of the migration can vary: porting of legacy application software (3GL code, user-interface, middleware), database conversion, web-enabling, or turnkey migration to a new operating system or platform.

One can web-enable the legacy OLTP applications, e.g. replacing the middleware by a J2EE or Windows compliant application server and redesign the user-interface with OO (.Net Apps, Java, VB or C++ etc.), making the application available for enterprise application integration and e-business.
